TEMPO.CO, Solo - The train station at the Adi Sumarmo Solo Airport that will connect with the Balapan Solo Station is targeted for completion in September 2018 and is expected to operate in 2019.
General Manager of Angkasa Pura I Adi Sumarmo Airport Abdullah Usman said the construction is still ongoing.
“The construction goes according to plan, the progress has reached 67 percent, it is likely to finish in February 2019,” Abdullah said on Saturday 11 August.
In this airport train project, his party is only in charge to prepare the facilities inside the airport, namely the construction of the train station. While the construction of the railroad line is the authority of the Ministry of Transportation involving a number of other State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs).
The airport train station will connect Adi Sumarmo Airport with Balapan Solo Station to the station in Yogyakarta. The project began in April 2017 and President Joko Widodo started it with a groundbreaking at the airport located in Boyolali area.
