TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission or KPK searched the cell of a bribery suspect in Lebak election Tubagus Chaeri Wardana or Wawan, in Sukamiskin Prison, Bandung, West Java, Wednesday, July 25.

According to Wawan’s lawyer, Tubagus Sukatma, the activity is to open the room seal. Previously, Wawan’s room was sealed in a series of the sting operation against the Head of Sukamiskin Prison Wahid Husein.

“Yes, there was an activity to open the room seal, some of the documents were taken by KPK but according to my client, there were no documents related to the sting operations (OTT),” Sukatma said.

Sukatma said that the documents seized by KPK from Wawan’s room were the files of Money Laundering (TPPU). Currently, besides bearing a status as the corruption convict, the husband of South Tangerang Mayor Airin Rachmi Diany is also a suspect in a money laundering case.
