TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Garuda Indonesia (IDX: GIAA) is committed to improving its business. The airline plans to have its performance evaluated every three months.
Garuda CEO Pahala N. Mansury said the evaluation would be conducted by the SOE Ministry. This decision was part of the deal made during a meeting between SOE Minister Rini Soemarno, Garuda's Pilots Association, Garuda's Workers Union (Sekarga), and the airline's management.
"We are committed to making improvements financially, operationally, and in human resources management. There will be review every three months," Pahala said on Friday, July 6.

He added that the company would also improve relationships with workers.
APG chairman Bintang Hardiono lauded the government for taking over the review; thus instilling trust among workers and airline crew.
Meanwhile, Sekarga chairman Ahmad Irfan Nasution ensured that all problems between workers and the airline's management were now solved.
Garuda Indonesia's workers and pilots had planned to hold a massive strike, demanding the company overhaul its board of directors. The demand was made based on workers' assessment that there were problems within the airline's management system.
