TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - At an annual conference for the F8 developers on early May, Facebook announced that it would bring new features to WhatsApp in the near future.

The voice calls and video calls and stickers are included in the Facebook promised update to WhatsApp users. Unfortunately, the social networking company did not mention the exact time of the launch.

Now, at least two of the promised features are rolling to a number of Android users. AndroidPolice reports that many WhatsApp users are now seeing the group call options on their Android devices. The same feature is also reported to have been rolled into iOS devices recently.

For the record, Android users can only use the group calling feature with the newest 2.18.162 WhatsApp beta.

However, since not everyone who uses the latest iteration of WhatsApp beta can see the group's call option, it is likely that Facebook will enable this feature via server-side updates.

It is estimated that it will take some time for the new WhatsApp feature to be used by all Android users, according to Phone Arena.
