The Monas event that claimed the lives of two children.

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Police called the Head of Technical Implementation Unit of National Monument (Monas) Munjirin today related to the distribution of staple foods that caused two children died in Monas. It is for questioning about the people’s party 'For you Indonesia' which was held on 28 April.

“The plan is tomorrow at 13:00 pm, will we ask for the information from the Head of UPT Monas,” said Jakarta Police spokesman Commissioner Argo Yuwono, Monday, May 21.

The examination is to examine more complete the incident that occurred in the event of sharing the staple foods. It began when Mahesa Junaedi (12) and Mohammad Rizki Syahputra (10) were killed after the event at Monas. Komariah, Rizki's mother reported the case to the Jakarta Police on 2 May.

Komariah reported the Chairman of For You Indonesia Forum (FUI) Dave Revano Santosa as the organizer of the staple food-sharing event. Dave was accused of negligence that caused Rizky to die.

Komariah’s Report is accepted with the number of LP/587/V/2018/Bareskrim dated 2 May 2018. Dave is accused of committing a crime of negligence resulting in death as in Article 359 of the Criminal Code.

The case is under the police investigation. In this case, the police have examined the parents of Mahesa Junaedi and Rizki, chairman of the committee 'For You Indonesia' Dave Revano Santosa, and three doctors at Tarakan Hospital, Central Jakarta.

“We will wait, if we need to go there (calling the Governor or Head of Tourism Culture), but wait, it is gradually,” said Argo at Jakarta Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Thursday, May 17.

By the time the police examined Dave, he claimed to have obtained permission from the Jakarta Administration. Dave also brought a number of documents as evidence to convince about the legality of activities for the staple food-sharing in Monas that turned out to be deadly.

"We have a location permit document and a police clearance permit," he said.

While the Jakarta Administration firmly said it never allows the staple food-sharing, it allows the people’s party only.

But within days, Komariah filed a letter of report’s revocation to the police. Even so, the police continue to investigate the case of the staple food-sharing that caused two children died in Monas.
