Anies Baswedan Asks to Liven Up Neighborhood Security System

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan issued a circular letter No. 6/2018 dated May 16 on the appeal to tighten the vigilance in the community area. The letter is a response due to the terrorist acts in many regions.
The Gubernatorial Letter was delivered to the members of city's legislative, sub-district councils, Community Awareness Forum, and the heads of neighborhood associations (RT/RW).
In the letter, Anies Baswedan demanded them enhance the coordination of security system with the authority in respective areas.
He further asked to tighten the monitoring to residents in the rented rooms, migrant residents, or guests. Governor Anies Baswedan also requested to liven up the neighborhood security system (Siskamling).
The letter noted if any suspicious things arise, the public is urged to report to the regional and security apparatus. Anies Baswedan then called on the Jakartans to collectively maintain the security, create a safe condition, care to each other, and engage in maintaining harmony environment.
