TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno suggested that hundreds of former employees of the Exotic nightclub and Sense karaoke to register in the OK-OCE program.
"There are a lot of business offerings on halal tourism," said Sandiaga Uno in the City Halls on Thursday, April 19, 2018.
Sandiaga asserted that the closure of both Exotic nightclub and Sense karaoke were an act of law enforcement due to both venues involvement in drug crimes.
In addition to joining the OK-OCE program, Sandiaga planned to transfer the laid-off workers to other business. “They can be trained to be entrepreneurs," Sandiaga said.
As reported previously, as many as 300 people who worked at the Exotic nightclub were laid off following the revocation of its business permit by Governor Anies Baswedan on April 12, 2018.
