TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno said that there are three steps that will be taken by the Jakarta Administration to anticipate overcrowding in Pasar Tanah Abang before Ramadan.

"[Traders from] Pasar Tasik is starting to get more organized on Cideng Timur," Sandiaga said on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.

Sandiaga also planned to expand parking area in an around Pasar Tanah Abang to prevent any vehicles from parking on the street or sidewalk.

In relation to the plan to revitalize the Block G, Sandiaga said that the Jakarta Administration will start informing traders in Block G to temporarily move to Block F parking area during the process.

Sandiaga predicted that moving traders from Block G would take at least three months. Meanwhile, the revitalization process is expected to start later this year.

The third step will be constructing a sky bridge. Sandiaga said that the plan is still waiting for approval from Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.
