Veronica Tan Divorced; Ahok Gets Custody over Youngest Children

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The North Jakarta Court gave custody to Former Jakarta governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama a.k.a. Ahok. The Court made the divorce official on Wednesday, April 4.


The panel of judges' chairman, Sutaji, ruled that Ahok gets custody over the former couple's two youngest children, Natania and Daud.

On Wednesday, April 4, the court declared the end of Ahok and Veronica's wedding, which, which was legalized in 1997.


Ahok's lawyer Fifi Lety Indra is happy with the judges' decisions.


"Until Pak Ahok is released from prison, Ibu Vero will have custody over their youngest kids," Fifi said.

She added that they will convey the court's ruling to Ahok immediately.


The verdict hearing for Ahok and Veronica Tan's divorce trial was held at 10:00 this morning. The trial lasted around an hour's time.
