Garuda Travel Fair 2018 Offering 80 Percent Discounts

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Garuda Travel Fair is set to indulge travel goers hunting for ticket bargains. The annual event that will be held on April 6-8 at the Jakarta Convention Center will offer a happy hour program with 80 percent discount.


“The happy hour program will be valid from 10:00-13:00 and 16:00-18:00,” said Garuda Marketing and Information Technology Director Nina Sulistyowati in a press release received by Tempo on Thursday, March 29.


According to Nina, Garuda in partnership with Bank Mandiri also have the 'best-deal' program that offers a 50 percent discount for domestic and international flights available throughout the event.


Mandiri credit card holders are offered several benefits such as tickets that can be paid through a 12-month installment and zero percent interest, or an 18-month installment with a 0.9 percent interest.


Mandiri debit and credit card owners that visit the Garuda Travel Fair can also get a cash back program valued up to Rp2million.


Furthermore, Garuda Indonesia Cargo Director Sigit Muhartono said that the ticket to Japan will be sold at Rp2.7million, Hongkong Rp2.3million, and Singapore Rp800,000. “All of those prices are round trips flights,” he said.


Other than Jakarta, the Garuda Travel Fair will also be held in 29 other cities which include Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Palembang, Lampung , Makassar, Bali, Bandung, Gorontalo, Jayapura, Kendari, Kupang, Lombok, Malang, Manado, Medan, Palangkaraya, Sorong, Surabaya, Ternate, Timika, Banda Aceh, Ambon, Balikpapan, Padang, Pekanbaru, Pontianak, and Batam.
