TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta’s Ombudsman is set to deliver its final report (LAHP) on the suspected maladministration of the Tanah Abang street vendor reorganization at the Jatibaru Raya Street that allegedly involves Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.
Jakarta’s administration is said to attend this meeting discussing Ombudsman’s LAHP.
“Jakarta’s administration will be present, but we don’t know whether Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan will be present too,” said Dominikus Dalu, Jakarta’s Ombudsman Task Executor today.
Previously reported, Dominikus Dalu said that there is an alleged maladministration on how the Jakarta administration reorganized the Jatibaru Raya Street, which is a street in Tanah Abang used to accommodate street vendors.
“Because the street’s function used for the public’s interest was used for something else,” said Dominikus at Tanah Abang on Tuesday, March 20.
Furthermore, Dominikus argues that the Governor’s instruction No 17/2018 has violated Law No 38/2004 overseeing the use of public roads. Ombudsman has also collected statements from several stakeholders.
The report will highlight three main aspects such as the economic aspect of the street vendor reorganization, the aspect of the public road, and its spatial aspect that was ordered by Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.
