Police Reviews Electronic Ticket Regulation

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - National Police (Polri) is currently reviewing the implementation of electronic ticket as Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) based ticket has been on trial in a number of cities including Surabaya.
"Existing regulation will be revised based on the initial implementation of electronic ticket in several areas," National Police Traffic Corps chief Brig Gen. Royke Lumowa said in Surabaya on Friday, Oct. 13.
In addition, Royke visited Command Center in Surabaya Police Headquarters (Polrestabes) to directly supervise the execution of the pilot electronic ticket that has been carried out for more than a month.
He explained that electronic ticket regulation is under review one of which is regarding the delivery of evidence of violation recorded on CCTV to the vehicles’ owners.
"This will be clarified through the regulation that we are currently revised," he said.
