Directorate General Secretary of Village Governance Expects Optimized Public Services in Villages

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Directorate General Secretary of Village Governance of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) Paudah hopes that after the training of the Strengthening Village Government and Village Development Program (P3PD) in West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB), public services in the village can be optimized.
This was conveyed by Paudah when closing the Training on Capacity Building for Village Government Officials and Village Institutional Management through the Strengthening Village Government and Village Development Program (P3PD) Year 2023 in West Nusa Tenggara, at Lombok Raya Hotel, Mataram, Friday Night (28/10/2023).
"After this training, the village government is expected to be able to improve excellence in public services to the community in the village," said Paudah.
Paudah explained that to improve public services, the P3PD training in NTB also provided various training materials.
The materials include lessons on village development planning, village financial management, village cooperation, village regulatory drafting, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
The entrepreneurship lesson, in particular, is expected to increase the knowledge of the village government on entrepreneurship. With the hope that there will be more businesses in the village, one of which will improve Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes).
As for the leadership lessons, the Directorate General Secretary of Village Governance hopes that as role models in the village, village chiefs will be able to properly solve problems in their villages.
"We purposely invited village chiefs, village councils (BPD), and village officials in one forum. This is to bring the same understanding of how to manage, plan development in the village properly, also to spend as well as possible to cultivate the existing potential," said Paudah.
Paudah hopes that the training will be able to improve coordination and solidarity between the village chief, village officials, and village institutional administrators in providing the best service to the community.
"This training is also expected to strengthen the synergy of the Village Government and BPD in accelerating village development by prioritizing the welfare of the community and innovating to advance the village with various programs so that they can further see through the potential, challenges, and opportunities that exist in the village by encouraging community participation," said Paudah.
The training in NTB took place in 6 batches from September 20 - October 28, 2023, attended by 896 villages with the number of participants reaching 3,510 out of 3,574 or 97%.
