Anies Baswedan Talks His First 45 Days Plan as Jakarta Governor

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor-elect Anies Baswedan said that his plan for his first 45 days in office will be included in the draft 2018 regional budget (RAPBD).
He said that this the 2017 regional budget does not contain all of his programs. “Why? Because we don’t have the authority yet,” Anies said on October 12 in South Jakarta.
The governor-elect said that the inclusion of all of his programs in the draft regional budget will affect the implementation of the program.
Anies has not yet revealed his priority programs in the early days in office. “We will talk about the programs after the inauguration,” he said.
Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor-elect Anies Baswedan and Sandiaga Uno will be inaugurated by President Joko Widodo at the State Palace on Monday, October 16, at 4 pm Jakarta time.
The event will also feature a people’s festival at the City Hall, dinner reception and the first address of the Governor-elect.
Food and drinks for around 3,000 Jakarta residents will be served free of charge. Anies Baswedan and Sandiaga Uno will be meeting the people and shake their hands.
