TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - North Sulawesi Governor Olly Dondokambey said his administration had pitched an investment opportunity to Singapore. The North Sulawesi provincial administration has also scheduled to meet Chinese investors on November 3.
“We will offer an investment opportunity in Likupang, North Sulawesi,” Olly said after attending a coordination meeting with Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan in Jakarta today, Sept. 14.
Olly revealed that the investors were invited to develop the North Sulawesi’s tourism sector. He claimed that he had prepared a land for the investment.
In response to a question related to the investment value, Olly said that it would reach Rp89 billion. He said that two countries had expressed their interests in the investment, namely Australia and China. Olly revealed that one of the programs would be commenced next year.
The Indonesian government has pitched development projects in four regions to foreign investors. The four regions are Bali, North Sumatra, North Kalimantan, and North Sulawesi.
