TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat today delivered his accountability report during the last days of office in front of Jakarta’s Regional Legislative Council (DPRD). Djarot explained about the achievements of the administration under his leadership and several other matters that are yet to be completed.

According to Djarot, several projects still need to be completed after he steps down, such as the light rail transit and mass rapid transit projects. Other things include a total renovation of pedestrian sidewalks starting from the National Monument (Monas) up to Bendungan Hilir.

He also said that the governor and deputy governor-elect Anies Baswedan and Sandiaga Uno will also face problems related to urban floods and river normalizations. Djarot said that the siltation of Krukut River which has caused it to shallow even further will certainly be the biggest homework for Anies-Sandi.

Djarot Saiful Hidayat also said that there are several integrated child-friendly public spaces (RPTRA) that Djarot didn’t have the chance to complete. Jakarta’s elected leaders Anies - Sandi will be inaugurated on October 15.
