Rally Staged against Myanmar Embassy in Jakarta

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Professional Community for Rohingya Humanitarian Act held a rally in front of Myanmar Embassy in Jakarta on Saturday, September 2. The rally urged Myanmar Government to stop the genocide against Rohingya ethnic.


"We demand Myanmar military and civil regime to put an end to violence and genocide against Rohingya ethnic," Andi Sinulingga said in his oration Saturday, September 2.

His community also demanded action from Myanmar national leader Aung San Suu Kyi and tried to end banishment and slaughter against Rohingya ethnic group.


The rally involving 100 protesters urge ASEAN countries to exert pressure on Myanmar military regime to stop the cruelty against Rohingya. The rally also urged the UN and Human Rights activists to defend Rohingya ethnic.


Thousands of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar have been forced to flee to Bangladesh border to avoid brutal violence in the past five years which has claimed the lives of 104 people.
