TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Aston Martin Jakarta expects to increase its sales in the premium segment. They suspect that Indonesian consumers are still holding back their purchase since the premium car manufacturer tapped into the Indonesian automotive market in 2015.

Aston Martin Jakarta spokesperson Ilham Ramadhan believes that the current condition should be made as a momentum to rise above other premium car brands following the release of the Aston Martin DB11.

“We struggled back in 2015 and 2016. We made sales, even though the volume wasn’t as we expected,” said Ilham on Friday, July 28.

In 2017, Aston Martin Jakarta founded the Aston Martin Owners Club Indonesia (AMOCI) to embrace Aston Martin owners and attract potential buyers.

Since 2015, Aston Martin Jakarta has introduced eight types of its premium cars that officially entered the Indonesian market. They include the Aston Martin Vantage, DB11, Rapide S, and Vanquish.

The company’s record shows there are more than 50 Aston Martin cars roaming Indonesia’s roads. The cars were supplied by official dealers and general importers.
