China Top Export Destination for Non-oil: BPS

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) announced that in the first half of 2017 China is still Indonesia's number one export destination for non-oil and gas commodities. The export value reaches US$9.13 billion, accounting for 12.61 percent of the total export.
At number two is the United States with US$8.37 billion, and India is third with US$6.85 billion. The export value to the three countries in semester one accounted for 33.65 percent of the total.

"Our export to ASEAN is 21.25 percent or US$15.38 billion, and to the European Union is 11.11 percent or US$8.04 billion," BPS chief Suhariyanto said in Jakarta, Monday.
In June alone, Indonesia's non-oil export to China, the US and Japan reached US$1.35 billion, US$1.19 billion and US$1.01 billion, respectively, totaling at 34.35 percent.
Also in June, Indonesia's total export value amounted to US$11.64 billion, comprising of US$10.35 billion of non-oil and gas export. The value is down from May's US$13.04billion and from June 2016's US$13.01 billion.
