Siti Zuhro explained that the newly selected region as capital city has to prepare infrastructure facilities and human resources in the region has to be prepared.

This is so because the relocation of state capital bears logical consequences and exerts impact on law, social-politics, economy, demography and geopolitics, she added.

The new state capital is also expected to be the center of government and a city of diplomacy that is relatively conducive.

“It is not busy and crowded like industrial or business cities,” she continued.

Siti added that the newly appointed state capital would receive benefit since it will be known both nationally and internationally. Another positive impact, she added, is it will trigger quality improvement and development of other areas.

However, Siti claimed that it is a long process. The government needs to prepare and make a meticulous plan in order to anticipate the positive and negative impacts of the capital city moving plan.
