TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Supreme Auditory Agency (BPK) handed over a report on the financial investigation of PD Pembangunan Cirebon City land purchase. BPK discovered indications of a Rp21.622 billion state loss.

“This investigative probing was requested by Police Criminal Investigation Agency,” said BPK Main Auditor, I Nyoman Wara on Monday, June 5.

BPK also handed over investigation reports for land capital expenditure for the uses of compensation for third parties including West Sumatra’s Road Infrastructure, Spatial, and Government Settlements Department, for the 2011-2016 budget.

Nyoman claims that the agency discovered a Rp47.078 billion regional minimal loss. “This was part of the request from Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency.”

Criminal Investigation Agency’s Director of Corruption, General Ahmad Wiyagus, admitted that the police requested for the investigative audit.

“We did it through a joint investigation because it’s impossible for us to investigate corruption cases on our own,” Ahmad said.

According to Ahmad, BPK has an important role in calculating indicated state losses. He revealed that the type of joint investigations is not the first time.

“There are many other cases being handled, but this is especially for investigations related to the land procurement in Cirebon and West Sumatera,” he concluded.
