TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Public prosecutors of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will bring seven witnesses to testify in the electronic identity cards or e-KTP graft trial scheduled for today.

The witnesses include former director of the Indonesian Government Printing Office (PNRI) Isnu Edhi Wijaya, state-owned electronic company PT LEN Industry CEO Wahyuddin Bagenda and state-owned survey company PT Sucofindo director Arief Safari. Witness Isnu has been banned from traveling abroad.

The indictment says that PT LEN Industry directors allegedly received Rp1 billion in the project.

The public prosecutors said that the budget for the e-KTP project was disbursed to businessmen, house members and corporations. The indictment says that PNRI received Rp107.7 billion, PT LEN Industry got Rp20 billion and PT Sucofindo secured Rp8 billion, among others.

The KPK has indicted two individuals in the e-KTP projects: home affairs ministry officials Irman and Sugiharto.

The anti-graft agency has also named the home affairs ministry partner, businessman Andi Agustinus alias Andi Narogong as a suspect. The three individuals have been charged for illicit enrichment that caused Rp2.3 trillion in state losses.
