10 Witnesses to Testify in E-KTP Graft Trial Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The public prosecutors of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will today bring at least 10 witnesses to testify in the electronic identity cards or e-KTP graft trial. The witnesses will comprise of house members, private firm employees, and the home affairs ministry procurement officials.
Among the witnesses to attend the trial is the PDIP politician Olly Dondokambey, who currently holds the post of North Sulawesi governor. Olly was named in the indictment against two home affairs ministry officials Irman and Sugiharto. During his term of office as a house member, Olly allegedly received money from local company Cahaya Wijaya Kusuma director Andi Agustinus.
The prosecutors will also bring witness Irvanto Hendra Pambudi, the cousin of the House of Representatives (DPR) speaker Setya Novanto.
The KPK has indicted two home affairs ministry officials Irman and Sugiharto in the e-KTP graft case. It has also named Andi Agustinus, a business partner of the ministry, as a suspect for alleged illicit enrichment in the project that caused Rp2.3 trillion in state losses.
