TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Torrential rain affecting Greater Jakarta last night has caused inundation and flood in a number of areas, particularly East Jakarta.

“The designated evacuation sites are Al-Muqorobin Mosque and te third floor of Cipinang Melayu subdistrict office,” Jakarta BPBD Jakarta shared in their official twitter account on Sunday(2/4).

BPBD distributed blankets to the flood victims evacuated to Cipinang Melayu. In addition, rubber boats are prepared around the flood sites to assist the evacuation process.

“BPBD maintain coordination with Social Department, subdistrict chief, and chief of neighborhood unit who was affected by the flood.”

The water went up to 20-70 cm high in Cipinang Melayu, yet it kept on subsiding.
