Indonesia, Saudi Arabia Sign Agreement on Unlimited Flight

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian government and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have agreed to allow unlimited numbers of flights between both countries. The cooperation was established during King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud’s visit to Indonesia on March 1 to March 9, 2017.
Agus Santoso, Director General of Air Transportation of the Transportation Ministry, said on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, that the unlimited flight will be available in four Saudi Arabian airports and five Indonesian airports.
"As a follow up to the meeting with King Salman, including on flights in five airports [in Indonesia] and four airports [in Saudi Arabia]," Agus said. "Once limited, now unlimited," Agus added.
Air Transportation Director Maryati Karma said that the five airports in Indonesia that will serve unlimited flights are Kualanamu Airport in Medan, Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar, Juanda Airport in Surabaya, Ngurah Rai Airport in Denpasar, and Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Jakarta.
Meanwhile, the four airports in Saudi Arabia that will serve unlimited flights are airports in Madinah, Damam, Riyadh, and Thaif.
"For the airport in Thaif, there will be seven flights in one week," Maryati said.
