Garbage at Bogor Botanical Garden Reaches 10 Tons Per Year

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Bogor botanical garden is facing a garbage problem as the amount of plastic and can garbage and reaches 10 tons every year.
"Garbage is a problem that that we have to deal with. Every year, at leas t1o tons of plastic garbage is piled up at Bogor Botanical Garden,” said Head of Bogor Botanical Garden Plantation Conservation Center Sampah in Bogor on Saturday.
According to him, the garbage was produced by visitors, who do not have awareness not to litter.
He added that Bogor Botanical Garden does not have yet recycling facilities and this condition has to be addressed. So far, garbage added is sent to Galuga final disposal site.
