Jakarta Wins Many Awards; Ahok Reveals Reasons

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor candidate Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama talked about the number of awards won by Jakarta administration during his active term as the Governor. Although, he said that he did not always set it as a goal.
“If we work accordingly and well measured, we will win an award. So don’t think about the awards. Think about the task [in hand]. For example, now we start to set goals for human developments,” he said at Lembang House on Thursday, December 22, 2016.
Ahok explained when the government set its goals for human development, a number of awards will surely come. For example, the awards he received from the National Development Planning Agency in May, 2016.
The awards include Anugerah Pangripta Nusantara 2016 First Best Planning at the Provincial Category, Province with Innovative Planning, First Best MDGs Indicator Achievement of 2013-2015, and The First Best MDGs Level of Achievement of 2015.
Jakarta also received an award as a province with the best score for the 2016 employment development index. Jakarta won that award after Ahok serves as inactive governor. According to him, they were able to achieve it because Jakarta administration has met the goals on a number of their programs.
