Ecstasy in Minion Character Shape Circulates in Depok

TEMPO.CO, Depok - Ecstasy pill in shape of children’s movie character, Minion, circulates in Depok. Police arrested Iswanto (37) alias Ismet who distributed the drugs.
Chief of the Police Drug Unit, Depok, Com. Putu Kholis said that the suspect was arrested at his rented house in Cilodong after the Police previously conducted an arrest toward another drug distributor in November.
“Police arrested the suspect along with the evidence of 23 Minion-shaped ecstasy pills in a color combination of blue and yellow,” Putu said on December 5, 2016.
The suspect sold the pill for Rp200,000 per-piece. The suspect had earlier imprisoned for three times for the same crime in Jakarta and Bogor.
According to Putu, the Minion-shaped drugs potentially targeting the children as well as to deceive the police.
“We’re still investigating who the dealer is and where it came from,” Putu said. The suspect is charged with Article 114 Paragraph 2 subsided to Article 112 Paragraph 2 of Laws No. 35/2009 on Narcotics with more than 4-year imprisonment.
