Pertamina to Build Airport in Tabalong

TEMPO.CO , Tanjung - PT Pertamina, through its subsidiary PT Pelita Air Service, has set a Rp 40 billion budget to develop Warukin Airport in Tabalong District, South Kalimantan.
This was conveyed by Tabalong Regent Anang Syakhfiani in Tanjung on Tuesday, October 4, following the MoU signing between the district government of Tabalong and PT Pelita Air Service.
“Pertamina has allocated a Rp40 billion for the construction of the Warukin Airport,” said Anang.
The fund will be used to thicken the runway as well as adding a number of facilities at the only airport in Banua Enam.
Warukin Airport runway must have an asphalt thickness of 7.5cm in order to be used by ATR 72 aircrafts.
Previously, Director of Human Resources Dwi Wahyu Daryoto said PT Pelita Air Service plans to serve Tanjung-Surabaya route.
