TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Olympic Contingent has left Brazil, as the sports event concluded. Led by "chef de mission", Raja Sapta Oktohari, the team returned to Indonesia using Qatar Airways, and is scheduled to arrive in Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Tuesday, August 23, 2016.

The returning athletes are from badminton, athletics, and BMX bike race. Athletes from weightlifting, archery, rowing, and swimming have left earlier.

Indonesia has managed to bag one gold medal from badminton and two silver medals from weightlifting. This year's achievement is much better than that in London 2012, where Indonesia managed only to take one silver medal and one bronze medal.

The badminton mixed doubles pair Tontowi Ahmad - Liliyana Natsir has reached the gold, while the silvers were caught by weightlifters Sri Wahyuni dan Eko Yuli Irawan.

"This is our success," said Oktohari.

Rio Olympic itself has concluded in Maracana Stadium, where the flag has been relayed to Japan, who will host the 32nd event in 2020.
