Kimia Farma Targeting Rp2.1 Trillion in Sales

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: PT Kimia Farma is targeting sales growth of 18 percent this year to Rp2.1 trillion compared to last year. Gunawan Pranoto, the Managing Director of Kimia Farma, said that it has considered the projection of the decrease of the pharmaceutical market this year of around Rp26.25 trillion. Therefore, in addition to selling general products, we'll also provide inexpensive medicines for the government, Gunawan told the press yesterday.This year the company is budgeting Rp50 billion in purchasing capital. The fund will be utilized to repair and to increase the Kimia Farma manufaturer's facilities, to develop its products and drugstore network. The company currently has 326 drugstores. This year, the company is aiming for 20 new drugstores. During last year, the company's sales amounted to1.816 trillion with a net profit of Rp52.83 billion. As for May this year, its sales reached Rp579.483 billion with a net profit of Rp15.072 billion.Eko Nopiansyah
