Jakarta Administration to Distribute Low-cost Beef to KJP Holders

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Jakarta Administration is set to distribute low-cost beef to the Smart Jakarta Card (KJP) holder in a bid to meet the ever increasing demand.
Head of Food Stability Agency, Darjamuni, said that there are 42 low-cost beef distribution locations in Jakarta. On Monday, the distribution focuses in the Seribu Islands and East Jakarta. On June 28, it will be in West Jakarta. While North Jakarta will be on June 29, South Jakarta on June 30, and Central Jakarta on July 1.
In total, there are 102 tons of beef and 55 tons of chicken meat, aiming to suffice around 530,000 KJP holders. "A card holder can buy 1 kilogram of meat," said Darjamuni. “First come, first served."
The beef will be sold at Rp39,000 per kilogram, while the chicken meat will be sold at Rp15,000 per kilogram. Beef price in market is currently at Rp114,000 to Rp125,000 per kilogram, while chicken meat price is at Rp34,700 per 1-chicken.
