TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Nielsen Advertising Information Services noted that as of the third quarter of this year, ad spending by TV station reached Rp20.9 trillion, a six percent from the previous quarter's Rp19.7 trillion.
"Overall, throughout January to September, ad spending grew by eight percent to Rp62 trillion," Hellen Katherina, director of Nielsen Media Indonesia, said on Thursday, November 19.
The government and political organizations contributed the highest to advertising expenditure with Rp4.6 trillion. "The presidential election campaign was a very strong differentiating factor, wherein last year's political campaign was the key driver of advertising spending growth," Hellen said.
