TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - World football governing body FIFA is sending its representatives to Indonesia to mediate negotiation between Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) and Youth and Sport Affairs Ministry to find solution for Indonesian football.

“Kohzo Tashima will lead a joint FIFA/AFC delegation, composed of H.R.H. Prince Abdullah (FIFA) and Mariano Araneta (AFC), to Jakarta to assist the Football Association of Indonesia in its negotiations with stakeholders and to identify solutions for Indonesian football to ensure that the suspension can be lifted as soon as possible,” FIFA wrote on its website www.fifa.com on Friday.

PSSI Secretary General, Azwan Karim claims that FIFA and AFC have agreed on PSSI’s proposal to have joint delegations coming to Indonesia to discuss about the ban.

“FIFA have agreed to PSSI’s proposal to send official joint delegations consisting of FIFA and AFC delegation. This way, the decision to be made will be FIFA’s official action instead of individual action,” Azwan said in a press release received by media.

“PSSI will make further coordination regarding the date. PSSI will propose to President Joko Widodo to welcome FIFA’s official delegations.”
