70 Police Personnel Deployed in Johar Baru to Anticipate Brawl

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As many as 70 police personnel are deployed in five brawl-prone points in Johar Baru by guarding the access to the area starting from 3 PM until 7 PM.


Chief of Johar Baru Sector Police, Comr. Wiyono stated eventhough the special guarding starts only at 3 PM until 7 PM. But his party will keep supervising and patrolling those points for 24 hours.


"Those five points are in Taman Perahu, Jembatan Besi, Jalan Babu Salam, RW 10 Tanah Tinggi and Kota Paris," he stated, when he welcomed Central Jakarta Mayor, Mangara Pardede's visit, in his office, Tuesday (8/25).


Besides those points, there is another point indicated, that is in Gang Macan Kampung Rawa.


While, to support the performance of his personnel, his party hopes 13 units of new Circuit-Closed Television (CCTV)s would be installed immediately. Likewise 4 existing CCTVs, could be operated immediately. Because its existence is very important to handle brawl.
