TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jember Fashion Carnaval (JFC) founder, Dynand Fariz, explained that JFC will present art wear fashion, which is different from the usual fashion.

“If we talk about fashion, actually we already know right after we have a baby. We have to choose what color, shoes that suitable for the baby,” he said, in Jakarta, Tuesday (4/8).

According to Fariz, fashion is always about pieces of clothes that are ready-to-wear. "But fashion designed for carnival can be categorized as art wear,” he continued.

Dynand said that an art wear cannot be designed randomly. An art wear in JFC should be different from other clothes designed by all Indonesian fashion designers.

The JFC art wear will be sold under a brand of a city, namely Jember. So that JFC will not only sell the clothes, but also the event.

“I won’t sell pieces of art-wear clothes. I sell event, Jember FashionCarnaval,” he added.
