Anti-Corruption Activists May Be Suspects: Police
Senin, 3 Agustus 2015 20:00 WIB
TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - National Police Head of Criminal Investigation, Police Commissioner General Busi Waseso said two ICW (Indonesia Corruption Watch) activists have 'the potential' to be suspects.
Waseso said on Monday, August 3, 2015, at the National Police Headquarters in Jakarta that it depends on investigation results.
Senior legal expert Romli Atmasasmita reported ICW Coordinator Adnan Topan Husodo and Deputy Coordinator Emerson Yuntho for defamation. The two were reported to the police after saying Romli is unfit to be in the selection committee for the Corruption Eradication Committee.
In fact, Adnan nor Emerson never named Romli by name. Both said that there are candidates for the committee with questionable reputation because those candidates have been expert witnesses in favour of corruption suspects.
