TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Youth and Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi welcomed the Indonesian Soccer Association (PSSI) for a discussion in resolving national soccer problem. "The option of discussion is a good one," he told Tempo on Tuesday July 14.
Imam said that he delegates the discussion to Assistant Deputy of Sports Organization, Dody Iswandi. “He will handle this,” he said.
Legal director of PSSI, Imam Aristo Pangaribuan, added that PSSI also welcomes the notion. "Let us sit and end this debate, for the sake of Indonesian soccer," he said following the verdict in PTUN.
Aristo said that it is not difficult to distribute task and authority in soccer management. He said that PSSI has prepared cooperation agreement concept, including on management matter.
Previously, PTUN Jakarta granted PSSI’s appeal against the ministry. Judge Ujang Abdullah mentioned in the verdict that Minister Imam Nahrawi has made illegitimate call by banning PSSI.
