Pertamina to Launch Pertalite after Eid

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Pertamina will launch the RON 90 fuel, so-called Pertalite a week after the Eid Holiday, Pertamina president director Dwi Soetjipto said at the Senayan East Parking Area on Sunday, July 12, 2015. However, he did not confirm the date of the launch.
Dwi explained that Pertalite was not merely a program to replace Premium, but also to provide public with an alternative of better quality fuel.
“Each of the fuel type has its own characteristics. Pertalite serves as an alternative for public,” Dwi said.
Pertamina continues to introduce Pertalite to public and gas stations to familiarize them with the new product. Pertamina marketing director Ahmad Bambang said Pertalite would be sold for Rp 8,500 per liter, which is slightly higher than the RON 88 fuel price and lower than the RON 92 fuel price.
As an initial stage, Pertamina has prepared 500 kiloliters of Pertalite that will be distributed to 109 gas stations in Jakarta, Bandung and Surabaya.
