Middle-East Countries Set Eyes on Investing in Indonesia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi said that there are four middle-east countries planning to invest in Indonesia: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.
During her bilateral visits to the abovementioned countries on May 25 to May 29, 2015, Minister Retno described the projects that will be carried out in Indonesia within the next five years.
"All [of the countries] responded positively, Qatar investment minister even said to follow up [the investment plan] after the holy month of Ramadhan, by bringing several investors," Retno said on Monday, May 31, 2015.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arrmanatha Nasir said during the visit, there has been agreement to establish a Joint Ministerial Meeting between the four countries and Indonesia.
