Bandung Mayor Resigns from PSSI Transition Team

TEMPO.CO, Bandung – Bandung Mayor Ridwan Kamil has resigned from the transition team tasked to take over the role of the suspended Soccer Association of Indonesia (PSSI) recently formed by Youth and Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi.


Emil made the announcement via his twitter account @ridwankamil on Wednesday at around 8 a.m.


“I’ve sent my resignation letter from the PSSI Transition Team due to my activities and limited time as Bandung Mayor,” he tweeted.


Youth and Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi announced the establishment of the transition team in Jakarta on Friday, May 8, 2015.


Three members of the team are regional heads: Bandung Mayor Ridwan Kamil, Batu Regent Eddy Rumpoko and Surakarta Mayor F.X. Hadi Rudyatmo.
