TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Bogor administration launched an online permit registration system on Thursday, April 30, 2015. With such an online system, all permit applications for public and business owners will be handled directly by officials.

“The system will not only allow easy and fast [permit services], but applicants will also be able to track the progress of their permit application,” Bogor Mayor Bima Arya said.

The online system will also prevent manual tariff imposition on each document by official. Applicants, Arya said, will pay the fee through banks.

“This is aimed to reduce illegal transactions,” Arya added.

Administrative permits that can be applied through the online system include all types of permits in the city Bogor, building permits (IMB) and business permits.

“There are 62 permit services and 10 non permit services covered by the system,” Permit Service Agency head Denny Mulyadi said.

Denny added that the Bogor administration is set to prepare a registration system via cellphones, upon the full operation of the online system.

In 2014, the Bogor Administration issued 8,700 permits, mostly included building permits, business permits, billboard permits and nuisance permits.

“With such an online system, public would be encouraged to apply for permits they need since it is now easier,” Denny said.
