Selasa, 14 April 2015 05:50 WIB
TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - In the creative hands of Vania Santoso, trashes are transformed into valuable goods and accessories. Cute bags that are sold in Vania’s eco-fashion business, called heyStartic, are made out of trashes such as snack pouches or cement bags.
According to Vania, the trashes are crafted in such a way that they are re-formed into an exclusive products having high-economy value. For example, the produced bags are water-proof and looks shiny.
In running her business, Vania employs people in her neighborhood and is cooperating with trash banks nearby the production site.
Vania started her recycling-business in 2012 and now, it is attracting both local and foreign customers.
