TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Golkar Party’s leadership brouhaha has shifted to another battleground, with Agung Laksono’s camp saying a number of its officials in the House’s commissions had been replaced by those from rival Aburizal Bakrie’s side.

Agung took for example the recent dismissal of two of his politicians, Zainudin Amali and Adies Kadir, from the House’s Legal Commission. “Their positions in the Legal Commission have been filled by those from Aburizal’s politicians from other commissions,” Agung said at the party’s central executive board headquarters in Slipi, West Jakarta, on Monday, April 6, 2015.

Agung continued that both Amali and Adies were presently without any seat in any of the House’s commission, making their status in limbo at the parliament. “It’s like they are occupying sinecure positions, because the real deal is happening in the House’s commissions,” Agung said.

Adies Kadir said he was stunned by his replacement, adding that he did not receive any prior notification about it until March 21, 2015. He also said three of Aburizal’s politicians had entered the Legal Commission afterwards: Mukhamad Misbakhun, Kahar Muzakir and Ahmadi Noor Supit.

“The funny thing is this transfer took place without a prior discussion at the House Consultative Body, and was not announced in the House plenary meeting either,” Adies told Tempo.

Adies said he was now preparing a protest letter for the House secretary general, but he needed more time to coordinate with Agung’s camp’s Golkar faction chief Agung Gumiwang Kartasasmita and Agung himself.
