TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The House of Representatives (DPR) speaker has agreed to delay the determination of the Functional Group Party (Golkar) leadership status following an interim decision rendered by the North Jakarta State Administrative Court regarding a decree issued by the Justice and Human Rights Minister. Deputy Speaker of the DPR Fadli Zon, said that the DPR will not approve both of the conflicting sides until a legal and binding resolution has been achieved.

"[DPR] leader will not read the two factions reshuffle letter because it will cause more trouble. Therefore, we have applied a status quo until [a legal and binding decision has been issued]," Fadli said on Wednesday, April 1, 2015.

During the status quo, Fadli explained that the only eligible Golkar administration official is the one determined through the party's national congress in Riau, which appoints Aburizal "Ical" Bakrie as chairman of Golkar and Idrus Marham as the party's secretary. Meanwhile, Ade Komaruddin was appointed as the chairman of Golkar faction.

Similarly, Fahri Hamzah, deputy speaker of the DPR from the Justice and Prosperous Party (PKS) said that the interim decision will be taken into consideration by the DPR before rendering a decision.
