Indonesian Police Send a Team to Yemen

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Police Headquarter will send a team to Yemen to assist Indonesian citizens stranded in the country to return to Indonesia. Head of Information Bureau at the National Police, Brigadier General Agus Rianto, said that there are two thousands Indonesians trapped in Yemen.
"We will send a team of seven men," said Agus. The team, consisting of men and women from different divisions, is set to leave on Wednesday, April 1, 2015.
Agus said that the team will be deployed for two weeks in Sana'a (in Yemen) and Salalah (in Oman). "However, the deployment will depend on the updates [of the Indonesians' condition]," he said.
Moreover, Agus said that the police are coordinating with the Foreign Affair Ministry and Interpol. So far, Indonesia has managed to return 148 people.
