BKPM Threatens to Revoke Thousands of Principle Licenses

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Thousands of foreign investors are threatened to get their investment principles licenses revoked if they fail to submit their investment activity reports (LKPM) in the next 30 days.
"Starting tomorrow (today), the BKPM (Investment Coordinating Board) will send warning letters to these principle license holders," BKPM chief Franky Sibarani said yesterday.
In the period 2007-2012, BKPM has issued 22,095 principle licenses, of which 17,169 were given to foreign investors. To date, only 12,022 of them have submitted their investment reports.
Meanwhile, of the 4,296 foreign investors with domestic principle licenses, 3,506 had not submitted their reports.
