TNI Prepares 8 Hercules Aircraft to Repatriate TKI
Selasa, 23 Desember 2014 17:30 WIB
TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) commander Gen. Moeldoko said the TNI has prepared eight units of Hercules aircraft to repatriate Indonesian migrant workers (TKI).
“They are ready for use for the next few days,” said Moeldoko on Tuesday.
Some 1,428 TKI will be repatriated gradually. They are currently placed in immigration depots such as KLIA, Semenyih and Bukit Jalil.
On Tuesday, 875 illegal TKI from Malaysia will be repatriated. Hercules aircraft will depart from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to Subang airport, Malaysia.
Five Hercules airplanes have been flying between Halim Perdanakusuma and Abdul Rahman Saleh airports since Monday. They are on standby in Pekanbaru while waiting for command to fetch TKI.
The numbers of TKI are 963 males and 397 females. They are being detained in 26 Malaysian immigration sites because they have no official working permit, exceed their period of stay, violate document regulations and falsify working documents.
