Indonesia Confirms Winning in AUG

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Indonesia shove off Thailand from the top position of ASEAN University Games (AUG) by collecting the most gold medals. Indonesia bag 57 golds, 68 silvers and 43 bronzes. Darmansa, a staff of AUG media and services division said that the result has confirmed Indonesia champion for 2014 AUG.
“It is impossible for Thailand or Malaysia to overtake,” said Darmansa.
Thailand go down to the second place with 50 golds, 31 silvers and 20 bronzes ahead of Malaysia on the third with 32 golds, 35 silvers and 46 bronzes. Meanwhile, Brunei Darussalam have not bag a single medal and Timor Leste snatced one bronze.
Deputy 1 Asian University Games, Joko Pramono expressed high appreciation toward Indonesian athletes who have worked hard to bring Indonesia ahead of Thailand.
