TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) gave awards to 450 blood donors. The awards were given to those who have donated their blood voluntarily from 50 to 100 times. It is a form of appreciation for citizens who donate their blood voluntarily, as reported by Antara News.

Head of Jakarta PMI, Rini Sutiyoso, said that this award is an annual agenda. "The 75-times blood donors will get awards from the governor, while 100-times will be given by the president," Rini said on Sunday.

According to Rini, blood bags' target per year is 300,000 bags. Last year, the achievement was 381,000 bags.

"This year it had reached 75 percent out of the target of 325,000 bags. The number will decrease every fasting month," Rini added.
